The Breed is a commentary and analysis of thoroughbred breeding by The Thoroughbred's Danny Power and Stephen Howell.

Power is a respected racing journalist and bloodstock consultant, who also worked as a racing manager for trainer Lee Freedman between 1992 and 1996.

Howell has worked as a senior racing feature writer for The Age and he is the editor of The Thoroughbred magazine.
